Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM on control PCB, Voltage spikes during operation, Faulty control PCB firmware, Loose display/control panel ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or PCB.
- Power cycle reset: Turn the machine off and unplug for at least 60 seconds. Plug back in and check if E13 clears.
- Check control panel connections: Remove the control panel bezel and inspect the ribbon cable between the display/keypad and the main PCB. Reseat the cable and ensure it is fully latched.
- Restore factory settings: If the user manual provides a factory reset procedure (button combination), perform it to clear corrupted settings.
- Replace control PCB: If E13 persists and settings cannot be stored, the EEPROM or firmware on the control PCB is likely defective. Replace the Prochem control PCB with the correct part number for your model.
