Possible Causes
Blocked inlet filter or strainer, Failed flow switch on solution line, Airlock in solution pump, Kinked solution hose between pump and heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the machine. Depressurize the solution system before disconnecting hoses.
- Clean inlet filter: Remove the solution tank and locate the inlet strainer or filter. Rinse thoroughly to remove lint and debris. Reinstall securely.
- Check solution hoses: Inspect hoses from tank to pump and pump to heater for kinks, sharp bends, or internal collapse. Replace any damaged hoses.
- Bleed air from pump: Fill the solution tank, start the pump, and hold the wand trigger open until a steady flow is achieved. Some models have a dedicated prime valve—open it until air is purged.
- Test flow switch: Locate the flow switch on the solution line (often a small in-line device with two wires). Bypass it temporarily by joining the wires with an insulated jumper. If the heater now operates, replace the Prochem flow switch.
