Possible Causes

Clogged vacuum hose or wand, Full or improperly seated waste tank, Blocked waste tank lid gasket or filter, Worn or failed vacuum motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before inspecting internal components.

  • Check hose and wand: Disconnect the vacuum hose and inspect for clogs by looking through or pushing a flexible rod. Clear any obstructions. Check the wand head for lint buildup.
  • Inspect waste tank: Empty the waste tank completely. Ensure the tank is seated correctly and that the lid gasket is intact and sealing all around. Replace the gasket if torn or flattened.
  • Clean waste tank filter: Remove and wash the waste tank filter or deflector screen. Allow to dry before reinstalling.
  • Test vacuum motor: Listen for unusual noises or slow startup. If suction remains weak with a clear hose and clean tank, test vacuum motor airflow directly at the machine inlet. Replace the Prochem vacuum motor if performance is poor.
