Possible Causes
Empty clean water tank, Tank not fully seated, Damaged tank valve, Faulty tank presence switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before handling tanks.
- 1. Fill and reseat tank: Fill the clean water tank to the proper level and reinstall it. Push down until it clicks or sits flush with the base.
- 2. Check tank valve: Remove the tank and press the spring-loaded valve on the bottom. Water should flow freely. If stuck closed or leaking, replace the valve or the entire tank.
- 3. Inspect tank presence switch: In the base, locate the tank presence micro-switch or sensor. Ensure its actuator is not broken and that it moves when the tank is installed. Clean any buildup that may prevent proper operation.
- 4. Switch test: Use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity when the tank is in place. Replace the switch if it fails.
Note: Some models require both solution and recovery tanks to be correctly installed before operation.
