Possible Causes
Failed brush drive motor, Broken or stretched brush drive belt, Jammed brush bar, Faulty brush motor output on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cleaner and remove all water tanks before turning the unit over.
- Check for jams: Lay the cleaner on its side and inspect the brush bar. Remove hair, threads, and debris. Try to rotate the brush by hand; it should turn with moderate resistance.
- Inspect the belt: Remove the bottom brush cover (usually a few screws). Check the rubber drive belt between the brush motor pulley and the brush bar. If the belt is snapped, heavily cracked, or loose, it must be replaced.
- Check brush motor wiring: With the cover off (and unit unplugged), ensure the brush motor connectors are firmly attached and not burnt.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the belt and cover, reinstall tanks, and test. If E3 still appears and the brush does not move, the brush motor or control PCB brush driver is likely faulty.
- Advanced repair: Replacing the brush drive motor or control PCB requires disassembly of the main body and should be done by a qualified technician.
