Possible Causes
Faulty tilt sensor, Loose internal wiring harness, Misfitted handle or body interlock, Defective safety circuit on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening any covers.
- Check assembly: Ensure the handle, tanks, and any accessory tools are fully locked into place. Some models will show an error if the body is not correctly assembled.
- Use on level surface: Operate the cleaner only on a flat floor. Excessive tilting can trigger the safety sensor.
- Inspect wiring (advanced): Remove the handle and rear cover to access the wiring harness. Look for loose connectors, especially near any small tilt sensor module or microswitch.
- If E9 continues: The tilt sensor or safety circuit on the PCB may be faulty. Replacement of the tilt sensor or control PCB is recommended via a service centre.
