SEBO
Excessive Brush Engagement or Suction Lock
Brush head is difficult to push on certain carpets
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Brush height set too low, Very strong suction on dense carpet, Worn or missing glide strips, Worn wheels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before adjusting the head.
- Adjust brush height: Increase the brush height setting to raise the head slightly off the carpet. This reduces drag and prevents the head from sealing to the carpet.
- Check glide strips: Inspect any glide plates or strips on the underside of the head. If they are worn smooth or missing, replace them to restore easy movement.
- Inspect wheels: Ensure the front and rear wheels roll freely and are not worn flat. Replace worn SEBO wheels.
- Use appropriate mode: On models with variable suction, reduce suction when cleaning very dense or high-pile carpets.
Forcing the head can damage the carpet and strain the brush motor and belt.
