Possible Causes
Broken SEBO toothed drive belt, Slipped belt, Seized brush roller bearings, Faulty brush motor (if direct drive)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and lay the power head upside down on a soft surface.
- Check for jams: Remove hair and debris from the brush roller. Try spinning it by hand. If it is stiff, remove the roller and clean the end caps and bearings.
- Inspect the belt: Remove the bottom plate (usually held by screws or clips). Examine the SEBO toothed drive belt. If it is broken, frayed, or loose, replace it with the correct SEBO belt for your model.
- Reinstall correctly: Fit the new belt over the motor pulley and brush roller gear, ensuring the teeth mesh properly. Refit the brush roller and bottom plate.
- Test operation: After reassembly, plug in and briefly run the machine, watching the brush through any viewing window to confirm rotation.
Never lubricate the belt or pulleys; they must remain dry to avoid slipping.
