Carpet cleaner trips household circuit breaker or blows fuse when turned on

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker. Unplug the machine immediately.

• Visual inspection: Check the power cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. If damaged, do not use the machine until the cord is replaced.
• Isolate components: If possible, disconnect the power head and test the main unit alone (once, with caution). If it still trips, the suction motor or internal wiring is likely at fault. If it does not trip, the fault is likely in the power head.
• Do not open motor casing: Motor and wiring diagnosis should be performed by a qualified technician with proper test equipment.
• Service required: Arrange for professional repair or motor replacement. Operating a shorted appliance is a fire and shock hazard.

Never bypass fuses or use oversized fuses to prevent tripping; this is extremely dangerous.
