SEBO
Partial Blockage in Hose or Wand
Handle or hose loses suction while main body suction is strong
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Clogged SEBO hose, Obstruction in wand, Leak at hose cuff or handle, Cracked hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before disconnecting the hose.
- Check suction at body: Remove the hose and briefly run the machine (then unplug). If suction at the body inlet is strong, the issue is in the hose or wand.
- Clear hose blockage: Look through the hose. Use a flexible rod or straightened (blunt) coat hanger with tape over the end to push out clogs from the opposite end.
- Inspect for leaks: Flex the hose while blocking one end with your hand and feeling for air leaks or splits. Replace the SEBO hose if cracked or leaking.
- Check wand: Detach the wand and inspect for lodged objects. Clear with a broom handle if necessary.
A damaged hose reduces cleaning performance and should be replaced rather than taped for long-term use.
