Possible Causes
Broken conductor in hose cable, Loose hose-end connector, Worn contacts in swivel joint, Strained internal wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before manipulating the hose.
- Reproduce the fault: With the machine plugged in and running (exercise caution), gently extend and rotate the hose to see if movement causes power loss. Then unplug before further work.
- Inspect hose ends: Check both ends of the hose for loose or damaged electrical contacts (on models with powered heads).
- Replace hose assembly: A broken conductor inside the hose cannot be reliably repaired. Replace the complete SEBO electrified hose assembly.
- Check swivel joint: If the fault occurs when rotating the hose at the body, the swivel contacts may be worn and require replacement by a technician.
Intermittent electrical connections can cause arcing and heat; address promptly.
