Unpleasant musty or dusty odor from machine exhaust

Safety first: Unplug the machine before servicing.

• Replace bag: Fit a new SEBO filter bag even if the old one is not completely full, especially if it has been in use for many months.
• Replace filters: Install new pre-motor and exhaust filters. Odors often cling to old filter media.
• Clean compartments: Wipe the bag compartment and filter housings with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Allow to dry completely before reassembly.
• Avoid vacuuming damp material: Do not pick up wet debris with a dry vacuum; this promotes mold and odors.

Regular bag and filter changes are the best prevention for odors and maintain filtration performance.
