Carpet cleaner leaks clean water or solution from the bottom when not in use

Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the clean water tank.

• Inspect tank: Fill the tank and hold it over a sink. Look for drips from seams or the bottom valve. Replace the tank if it is cracked or leaking at a seam.
• Check tank seal: Examine the rubber seal around the tank outlet. If it is torn, hardened, or misshapen, replace the seal or the tank assembly.
• Inspect valve: Press the valve stem to ensure it moves freely and closes fully. Rinse to remove debris that may prevent sealing.
• Check hose connection: On the machine, inspect the fitting where the tank connects to the solution hose. Tighten or reseat as needed.
