Possible Causes
Failed control panel keypad, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main board, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Faulty main board keypad input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cleaner before opening the control panel area.
- Dry the panel: If the panel was exposed to water or cleaning solution, wipe it dry and allow several hours of air drying.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the screws securing the control panel. Carefully lift it and check the flat ribbon cable connection to the main board. Reseat it fully.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on the keypad contacts or connector. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Replace keypad: If certain buttons feel stuck or the membrane is damaged, replace the entire control panel keypad assembly.
