Possible Causes

Failed solution pump, Airlock in solution line, Clogged solution nozzle, Faulty flow sensor on solution line

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove water/solution tanks before disassembly.

  • Check tanks and seating: Ensure the clean water/solution tank is full and firmly seated. Remove and reseat the tank to engage the valve properly.
  • Prime the pump: Fill the tank, then with the unit powered on (after replugging), hold the spray trigger for 30–60 seconds while the machine is over a sink or towel. This can clear air from the lines.
  • Clean spray nozzles: Unplug again. Locate the front spray nozzles and use a pin or soft brush to clear mineral deposits or debris. Rinse with warm water.
  • Inspect hoses: Check the clear solution hose from the tank to the nozzle for kinks, pinches, or leaks. Straighten or reseat as needed.
  • Advanced pump check: If E4 persists, the internal solution pump or flow sensor may be faulty. Access the pump by removing the side or bottom cover, then check for loose connectors. If the pump does not run when the trigger is pulled (with power on), replace the solution pump assembly.

Do not run the pump dry for extended periods, as this can permanently damage it.
