Accessory Hose Suction or Blockage Fault
Carpet cleaner shows E5 and shuts down when using the handheld hose or tools

Possible Causes
Blocked accessory hose, Clogged tool head, Faulty hose suction sensor, Collapsed internal hose lining
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing or clearing the hose.
- Detach the hose: Remove the accessory hose from the main body and from the tool end.
- Check for blockages: Look through the hose toward a light source. Use a flexible brush or straightened (blunt) coat hanger to gently push out clogs of hair, lint, or debris.
- Clean the tool head: Inspect the upholstery or stair tool for clogs at the suction opening and spray jets. Rinse under warm water and clear any buildup.
- Inspect hose for kinks: Straighten any sharp bends. If the hose feels soft or collapses under suction, the internal lining may be damaged and the hose should be replaced.
- Reattach and test: Reconnect the hose firmly until it clicks. Plug in and test. If E5 still appears, the internal suction sensor or hose port switch may be faulty and require service.
