Possible Causes
Stuck float in dirty water tank, Faulty tank full reed switch, Misaligned magnet in tank lid, Debris blocking float movement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the dirty water tank.
- Empty and rinse tank: Completely empty the dirty water tank. Rinse with warm water to remove foam, hair, and debris.
- Check float movement: Inside the tank, locate the float mechanism (usually a plastic piece that rises with water level). Move it up and down by hand to ensure it is not stuck. Clean any buildup around it.
- Inspect magnet and switch: Many Shark tanks use a magnet in the float and a reed switch in the body. Ensure the float magnet is intact and the tank seats fully against the body so the magnet aligns with the switch.
- Dry and reseat: Dry the tank bottom and reinstall it firmly until it clicks. Make sure the lid is properly latched.
- Test: Plug in and power on. If E7 persists with a clean, empty tank, the reed switch or wiring in the body may be faulty and require replacement.
