Possible Causes
Failed suction motor, Blocked internal air path, Faulty suction pressure sensor, Loose motor wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening any covers.
- Check for simple blockages: Remove the dirty water tank and inspect the suction inlet for clogs. Check the nozzle opening and hose ports for debris.
- Inspect filters: Locate and remove any pre-motor and post-motor filters. If heavily soiled, wash (if washable) or replace. Never run the unit without required filters.
- Listen for motor: Plug in and briefly power on. If the motor does not run at all and E8 appears, the motor or its wiring is likely faulty.
- Internal inspection: Unplug again, open the housing, and check the motor wiring harness and connectors. Reseat any loose plugs.
- Replace motor if needed: If the motor is receiving power but does not spin, or if it smells burnt, replace the suction motor assembly.
