Pump does not spray cleaning solution, no fluid at the nozzle, but motor and suction work

Safety: Unplug the carpet cleaner and empty tanks before disassembly.

• Verify solution tank placement: Ensure the clean water / detergent tank is properly seated and the valve at the bottom is opening when installed. Reseat the tank firmly.
• Check for kinks and blockages: Follow the transparent solution hose from the tank to the pump and from the pump to the spray nozzle. Straighten any kinks and clear visible blockages at the nozzle using a pin or soft brush.
• Prime the pump: Fill the clean water tank, reinstall it, then with the unit powered on, hold the trigger for 30–60 seconds while slowly tilting the machine forward and backward. This can remove airlocks in the pump.
• Inspect the pump filter: Some Siemens models have a small mesh filter at the pump inlet. Remove and rinse it under warm water to clear debris.
• Test the pump electrically: With the unit unplugged, access the pump and disconnect its connector. Measure coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed pump. If the pump has normal resistance but does not receive voltage when the trigger is pressed, the control relay or PCB may be faulty.

Replace the solution pump assembly if it is open-circuit, seized, or leaking. If the control board is not sending power to a good pump, have the PCB replaced by a professional.
