Reduced Solution Flow / Flow Sensor Fault
Low water flow warning, weak or intermittent spray from nozzles
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Partially clogged spray nozzles, Scaled solution lines due to hard water, Dirty inlet filter on solution tank, Faulty flow sensor (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and remove the solution tank before cleaning the fluid path.
- Clean the spray nozzles: Remove the floor head or nozzle assembly. Soak the nozzles in a descaling solution (per Siemens recommendations) to dissolve mineral deposits. Use a soft brush or toothpick to gently clear openings.
- Rinse the solution tank and filter: Take out the clean water/detergent tank. Remove any mesh filter at the outlet and rinse thoroughly. Clean the tank to remove detergent residue.
- Flush the lines: Fill the tank with warm water only. Reinstall and run the pump for several minutes to flush out any remaining debris or scale.
- Check the flow sensor: Some Siemens models use a flow meter in the solution line. Inspect the sensor for blockages and ensure the wiring connector is secure. If the sensor is stuck or damaged, it may need replacement.
After cleaning, test the unit with clear water. If the low flow warning persists, the pump or flow sensor may require replacement by a technician.
