Trigger Switch / Handle Sensor Fault
Handle trigger error, unit does not spray or start brush when trigger is pressed

Possible Causes
Failed trigger microswitch, Broken trigger lever, Disconnected trigger wiring harness, Faulty handle PCB (for electronic triggers)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the carpet cleaner before opening the handle assembly.
- Check mechanical movement: Squeeze the trigger and feel for normal resistance and return. If it feels loose or does not spring back, the trigger lever or spring may be broken and require replacement.
- Inspect the trigger switch: Open the handle housing and locate the microswitch or sensor activated by the trigger. Verify that the trigger physically actuates the switch.
- Test the switch: Use a multimeter in continuity mode across the switch terminals. It should change from open to closed when the trigger is pressed. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
- Check wiring: Ensure the harness from the handle to the main body is intact and firmly connected at both ends. Look for pinched or broken wires.
After replacing a faulty trigger switch or lever, reassemble the handle carefully to avoid pinching wires.
