Tilt sensor error, unit will not start cleaning mode unless held in a specific position

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal sensors.

• Verify normal operation: Some Siemens carpet cleaners are designed not to operate brushes or spray when fully upright. Confirm you are tilting the unit into the correct operating position as described in the manual.
• Inspect the tilt sensor: Locate the tilt or position sensor (often a small module near the main frame). Ensure it is securely mounted and not loose.
• Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the main PCB and confirm connectors are fully seated and wires are not damaged.
• Reset the unit: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect power to reset the control electronics. Test again.

If the error persists, the tilt sensor module may need replacement. Calibration or software updates, if applicable, should be performed by a Siemens service center.
