Possible Causes

Damaged membrane keypad, loose keypad ribbon cable, liquid ingress under keypad, failed UI PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cleaner before opening the control panel.

  • Dry the panel: If detergent or water has spilled on the control area, gently dry the surface and allow time for internal moisture to evaporate.
  • Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control panel cover and disconnect/reconnect the keypad ribbon cable to the UI or main PCB.
  • Check for corrosion: Inspect the keypad connector and surrounding PCB for green/white corrosion. Clean with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
  • Test buttons: If some buttons work and others do not, the membrane keypad itself is likely failing and should be replaced as a complete overlay assembly.
