Carpet cleaner leaves a bad or musty smell during use

Safety first: Unplug the machine before cleaning internal parts.

• Thoroughly clean tanks: Empty and wash both clean and dirty water tanks with warm soapy water. Rinse and allow to dry completely.
• Clean or replace filters: Wash foam filters and allow to dry fully. Replace any filters that smell bad or show mould.
• Flush hoses and nozzle: Run a tank of warm water with a small amount of approved machine cleaner through the system, then run a tank of plain water to rinse.
• Dry machine after use: Leave tanks and nozzle off the machine after cleaning to allow air circulation and drying.
