Possible Causes

Blocked airflow in suction path, Dirty or saturated motor filter, Overfilled dirty water tank, Continuous heavy use without cooling period

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off and unplug the machine immediately when E4 appears.

  • Empty dirty water tank: Remove and empty the dirty water tank. Rinse it and ensure the float valve moves freely and is not stuck in the raised position.
  • Clean filters: Locate the motor protection filter (often foam or mesh near the dirty tank). Wash in lukewarm water, squeeze out excess, and allow to dry fully before refitting. If heavily worn or damaged, replace the filter.
  • Check for blockages: Remove the nozzle, hose, and any tools. Inspect for clogs in the suction channel, hose, and brush head. Remove hair, fluff, and debris.
  • Allow cooling time: Leave the machine unplugged for at least 1 hour to allow the motor thermal cut-out to reset.
  • Use in shorter sessions: When back in use, operate in 15–20 minute intervals with short breaks to prevent overheating, especially on thick carpets.
