Possible Causes
Clean or dirty tank not correctly fitted, Broken tank presence switch, Misaligned tank magnet and reed switch, Damaged interlock wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting switches or wiring.
- Refit tanks: Remove both clean and dirty water tanks. Refit them carefully, ensuring they click into place and sit flush with the body.
- Check tank seals and lugs: Inspect the plastic lugs and tabs on the tanks that actuate the presence switches. If broken, the tank may not engage the switch; replace the tank.
- Inspect interlock switches: Locate the small microswitches or reed switches near the tank bays. Check that they are not physically broken or loose.
- Test switches: Use a multimeter to verify that the switches change state when the tank is inserted. Replace any faulty switch.
- Check wiring: Inspect the wiring from the interlock switches to the PCB for damage. Repair or replace the loom if necessary.
