Possible Causes
Cracked solution hose, Loose hose clamp, Perished O-ring on solution connector, Activated leak sensor pad
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and remove both water tanks. Mop up any visible water around the base.
- Inspect base for leaks: Remove the bottom cover to expose internal hoses and connectors. Look for signs of dried detergent, corrosion, or wet areas.
- Check solution hoses: Follow the clear solution hose from the tank valve to the pump and from the pump to the spray bar. Look for splits, kinks, or loose push-fit connectors.
- Replace damaged hoses or seals: If a hose is cracked or a connector O-ring is perished, replace with the correct Vax hose or seal kit.
- Dry leak sensor: Some models have a leak sensor pad or float at the base. Dry it thoroughly with a cloth and allow the machine to air dry for several hours.
- Reassemble and test: Refit covers, refill the tank, and test for leaks over a sink or tiled floor. If F7 reappears, further professional inspection is advised.
