Possible Causes
Hose not fully connected, Blocked hose or tool head, Diverter valve stuck in floor mode, Split in accessory hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before attaching or detaching hoses.
- Check hose connection: Ensure the hose is fully pushed into the port and any locking collar is engaged.
- Inspect for blockages: Detach the hose and look through it. Clear any obstructions with a flexible rod. Check the upholstery tool or stair tool for clogs.
- Operate diverter: If your model has a floor/tool diverter, move it several times to ensure it is not stuck. Confirm it is set to the tool position.
- Check hose for splits: Flex the hose along its length and look for cracks. Replace the hose if damaged.
