Vileda
Excessive Brush Drag or Wheel Resistance
Carpet cleaner is very hard to push or pull across the carpet.

Possible Causes
Brush height set too low, Debris wrapped around wheels, Worn or seized wheel bearings, Swollen rubber squeegee dragging on carpet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before turning it over.
- Adjust brush height: If your Vileda model has height adjustment, set it higher for thick carpets.
- Clean wheels: Remove hair and fibers wrapped around the axles. Ensure wheels spin freely.
- Inspect squeegee: Check the rubber squeegee at the rear of the cleaning head. If it is warped or swollen, trim slightly or replace to reduce drag.
- Lubricate wheel axles: Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant to the wheel axles if they feel stiff (avoid getting lubricant on the carpet-facing surfaces).
