Carpet cleaner makes a loud grinding or rattling noise during operation.

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection.

• Inspect brush area: Remove the brush guard and look for small objects (coins, stones, toys) trapped near the brush or in the suction channel. Remove any debris.
• Check brush bearings: Spin the brush roll by hand. If you hear grinding or feel roughness, replace the brush roll assembly.
• Inspect motor mount: Access the suction motor and ensure all mounting screws are tight and rubber mounts are intact.
• Check motor fan: If noise seems to come from the motor, inspect the fan for broken blades or debris. Replace the motor assembly if the fan is damaged.
