Control buttons or touch panel on the carpet cleaner do not respond reliably; sometimes they work, sometimes not.

Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the control panel.

• Surface cleaning: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly.
• Drying: If moisture has entered the panel, allow the unit to sit in a warm, dry room for 24 hours.
• Check connector: Open the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the PCB.
• Replace keypad: If buttons remain intermittent, replace the keypad or entire control panel assembly.
