Possible Causes

Tripped thermal cut-out on motor, Open motor winding, Seized motor fan, Faulty motor relay on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before opening.

  • Check for overheating: If the cleaner stopped during use and feels hot, the motor's thermal cut-out may have tripped. Let it cool fully, then try again. Ensure vents are not blocked by dust or carpet fibers.
  • Inspect motor for obstruction: Remove the lower housing to access the suction motor. Try to rotate the motor fan by hand (from the intake side) with power disconnected. If it is stiff or jammed, remove debris or replace the motor assembly.
  • Test motor continuity: Disconnect the motor wires and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
  • Check motor relay on PCB: Listen for a click when starting. If no click and the display shows E02, the relay or its drive circuit may be faulty. Replace the main control PCB if relay is not serviceable separately.
