Possible Causes
Internal water leak from solution hose, Cracked clean water tank, Loose hose clamp near pump, Moisture on leak detection sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the carpet cleaner and remove both tanks. Work on a dry surface.
- Inspect for visible leaks: Fill the clean water tank and reinstall. Look underneath and around the base for drips or wet areas.
- Check hoses and clamps: Remove the lower housing to expose the solution hoses. Tighten any loose clamps and replace cracked or brittle hoses.
- Inspect tanks: Examine the clean water tank for hairline cracks, especially around seams and the outlet valve. Replace the tank if any cracks are found.
- Dry the leak sensor area: If your model has a leak detection pad or sensor in the base, gently dry it with a cloth and allow the unit to air dry for 24 hours before testing again.
