How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.
- Dry the control area: If the panel was exposed to water or cleaning solution, gently dry the surface and allow 24 hours in a warm, dry room.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the screws securing the control panel. Carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the keypad and main PCB to ensure a solid connection.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on the keypad connector or PCB. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush; heavy corrosion usually requires part replacement.
- Replace keypad or PCB: If buttons still do not respond, replace the keypad membrane or the entire control panel assembly. If that fails, the main control PCB may be defective.
