Possible Causes
Misaligned dirty water tank, Broken tank presence microswitch, Damaged tank magnet (for magnetic sensor models), Faulty tank sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection.
- Reseat dirty water tank: Remove and reinstall the tank, ensuring it is fully pushed into place and the lid is properly closed.
- Check tank tabs and magnets: Inspect the plastic tabs or embedded magnet on the tank that actuate the presence sensor. Replace the tank if these are broken or missing.
- Test microswitch or reed sensor: Locate the tank presence switch in the body. Use a multimeter to verify that it changes state when the tank is installed. Replace the switch if it does not operate correctly.
- Inspect wiring to PCB: Ensure the connector from the sensor to the PCB is secure and wires are intact.
