Handle not fully locked upright, Body latch switch not engaged, Broken handle lock tab, Faulty interlock microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting mechanical parts.
- Check handle position: Ensure the handle is fully locked into the operating position. Move it slowly from storage to use position until you hear a click.
- Inspect latch tabs: Look for broken plastic tabs at the handle pivot or body latch that actuate the interlock switch. Replace the handle or body shell if tabs are broken.
- Test interlock switch: Locate the microswitch at the handle pivot or body joint. Use a multimeter to verify it changes state when the handle is moved. Replace if faulty.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the switch wiring harness is intact and firmly connected to the PCB.
