Possible Causes
Blocked flowmeter due to limescale, Defective flowmeter sensor, Airlock in hydraulic circuit, Loose or kinked silicone water hose between tank, pump, and flowmeter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before removing covers or hoses.
- Check water tank: Ensure the tank is fully seated, filled, and the tank valve (if present) opens properly when inserted.
- Bleed air: Remove and reinsert the tank several times. Run a hot water cycle (if possible) to purge air from the system.
- Descale: If the machine can still run a descaling program, perform a full descaling with an AEG-approved descaler to clear partial blockages.
- Inspect flowmeter: Access the internal hydraulic circuit and locate the plastic flowmeter (usually between tank and pump). Check for kinks in hoses and visible debris in the flowmeter inlet.
- Clean or replace: If the flowmeter wheel is stuck or heavily scaled, replace the flowmeter. Ensure all hose clamps are tight and leak-free when reassembling.
