Possible Causes
Blocked grinder burrs due to oily beans, Worn or jammed grinder motor, Faulty grinder position sensor or encoder, Broken grinder drive gear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the coffee maker before accessing the grinder.
- Empty beans: Remove the bean hopper and empty all beans. Check for foreign objects (stones, plastic) that may have jammed the burrs.
- Adjust grind setting: Set the grinder to a coarser setting and try a cycle again. Very fine settings can overload the grinder.
- Clean grinder: If accessible, remove the upper burr and brush out old coffee residues and oils. Do not use water inside the grinder.
- Check grinder movement: Rotate the burr carrier gently by hand (if design allows). If it is seized, the grinder assembly may need replacement.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the grinder motor connector is firmly seated on the PCB and that no wires are pinched or broken.
