How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before removing the brew unit.
- Remove brew unit: Open the service door and carefully remove the brew group according to the AEG user manual.
- Clean and lubricate: Rinse the brew unit under warm water (no detergent), dry thoroughly, and lightly lubricate moving joints and seals with food-grade silicone grease.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the brew chamber for loose coffee pucks or foreign objects blocking movement.
- Reset mechanism: With the brew unit removed, power on the machine and allow it to perform a self-test. Then power off, reinstall the brew unit in its home position, and power on again.
- Inspect switches and gears: If accessible, check the brew drive gears for broken teeth and test the position microswitches for proper actuation and continuity.
