Little or no coffee comes out; brewing is very slow and the pump sounds strained.

Safety first: Allow the machine to cool before disassembling brew components.

• Clean filters: Remove the filter basket and portafilter. Soak them in hot water with a coffee cleaner, then scrub all holes with a brush.
• Clean shower screen: If accessible, remove the shower screen screw and clean the screen and area behind it from coffee oils and residues.
• Adjust grind: Use a coarser grind and avoid tamping too hard to reduce resistance.
• Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to clear internal restrictions.
• If flow remains weak: Internal components like the flow restrictor or hydraulic block may be clogged and require professional cleaning or replacement.
