Ascaso machine produces a sour or off taste in coffee even after cleaning the portafilter.

Cleaning steps:

• Backflush: Use Ascaso-approved detergent to backflush the group and clean the 3-way valve.
• Clean portafilter and baskets: Soak in detergent and scrub thoroughly.
• Clean water tank: Wash the tank with mild detergent, rinse well, and refill with fresh filtered water.
• Clean grinder: Purge old beans, brush burrs, and run grinder cleaning pellets if compatible.

Temperature check:

• Verify warm-up time: Allow sufficient warm-up (20–30 minutes) before brewing.
• Service thermostat/sensor: If shots are consistently cool, test and replace the brew thermostat or NTC sensor.
