Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on control board, Internal memory error, Incompatible or failed control board, Electrical surge damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Basic reset:
- Power-cycle: Unplug the machine for at least 10 minutes, then reconnect and power on. Observe if E9 clears.
- Factory reset (if available): Some Ascaso digital models allow a factory reset via the menu. Consult the user manual and perform a reset if possible.
If E9 persists:
- Inspect control board: Unplug the machine, remove the housing, and visually inspect the control board for burnt components or corrosion.
- Check connectors: Reseat all low-voltage connectors to the board (sensors, buttons, display). A poor connection can sometimes trigger a general fault.
- Firmware/service: For firmware-related issues, the board may need to be reprogrammed or replaced by an authorized Ascaso service center.
Note: Because E9 often indicates an internal logic fault, user-level repair is limited. Board replacement is usually required.
