How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Barista adjustments:
- Coarsen grind: Adjust grinder to a slightly coarser setting and reduce dose if necessary.
- Clean group: Remove and clean the shower screen and dispersion plate. Backflush with detergent.
Technical checks:
- Inspect group jet: Some Ascaso models have a small jet or restrictor in the group. Remove and clean it if partially blocked.
- Check OPV: Measure brew pressure with a gauge. If above spec, adjust or replace the OPV.
