Pump runs but no water comes out of the group head on Ascaso machine.

Basic cleaning:

• Remove portafilter: Try running the pump with no portafilter installed. If water flows, the basket or coffee puck is the issue.
• Clean basket and shower screen: Soak the filter basket and shower screen in detergent, then scrub to remove coffee oils and fines.
• Backflush: If your Ascaso model has a 3-way valve, perform a detergent backflush to clean internal passages.

If still blocked (unplug first):

• Inspect 3-way valve: Remove and clean or replace the valve if scale or debris is visible.
• Descale boiler and group: Run a descaling solution through the brew circuit according to Ascaso instructions, then flush thoroughly with fresh water.
