Possible Causes
Descale procedure not completed correctly, Flow meter not registering flow, Control board not resetting counter, Blocked flow sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Follow the user manual for descaling; do not bypass safety steps.
- Repeat descale cycle: Run the full descaling program again, ensuring you follow each step (including rinse cycles) exactly as described in the manual.
- Check water flow: If flow is weak or intermittent, descale again and clean filters so the flow meter can register correctly.
- Manual reset: Some models require a specific button combination to reset the descale indicator (e.g., holding two buttons for several seconds). Refer to the manual and perform the reset.
- Inspect flow meter (advanced): If the indicator still will not clear, the flow meter may not be sending pulses. Check for blockages and replace the flow meter if necessary.
If the warning persists despite proper procedure and good flow, the control board may have a firmware or memory fault.
