Possible Causes
Thermostat stuck closed, Faulty temperature sensor reading low, Excessive brew time due to restriction, Boiler overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the machine before internal inspection.
- Check brew time: If shots take much longer than normal, clean and descale to restore proper flow and avoid over-extraction.
- Descale: Remove scale that can cause erratic temperature control.
- Measure temperature (advanced): Use a thermometer at the spout. If excessively high, the thermostat or sensor may be faulty.
- Replace thermostat (advanced): If the brew thermostat is stuck closed, replace it with a part of the same rating.
If temperature remains too high after descaling and thermostat replacement, the control board may be misreading the sensor and require service.
