Possible Causes
3-way solenoid valve stuck, Brew valve clogged with scale, Overpressure valve diverting flow, Brew group blocked
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and release pressure before opening the brew head.
- Backflush (if supported): Use a blind filter and backflush detergent to clean the 3-way valve and brew passages. Follow the machine's instructions.
- Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to dissolve scale in the brew valve and solenoid.
- Clean brew group: Remove and rinse the brew group (if removable). Clean all screens and channels.
- Tap solenoid (advanced): With the machine unplugged, locate the solenoid valve and gently tap it to free a stuck plunger. Do not hit hard enough to damage it.
If water still bypasses the brew head, the solenoid or OPV may need replacement.
