Possible Causes
Grinder chute clogged with coffee grounds, Jammed burrs due to stones or oily beans, Failed grinder motor, Faulty grinder position or load sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before accessing the grinder. Keep fingers away from burrs and sharp edges.
- Empty the bean hopper: Remove all beans and vacuum out loose grounds. Check for foreign objects (stones, metal fragments) that may have jammed the burrs.
- Clean the grinder chute: Access the chute from the brew group side if possible. Use a small brush to remove compacted grounds. Do not use water inside the grinder.
- Adjust grind setting coarser: If the grind is set extremely fine, the grinder may overload. Turn the adjustment toward a coarser setting and test again.
- Manual burr rotation (advanced): With the unit unplugged and the top cover removed, gently try to rotate the upper burr carrier by hand (if accessible). If it is seized, disassemble and clean the burrs thoroughly.
If E06 persists after cleaning and clearing jams, the grinder motor or its sensor may be defective and require replacement.
