Bialetti digital coffee maker shows E08 and will not produce steam or froth milk; pump may run but no steam exits the wand.

Safety first: Unplug the machine and allow it to cool. Steam circuits can retain pressure and cause burns.

• Clean the steam tip: Unscrew the steam nozzle tip and soak it in hot water with a bit of descaler or milk cleaner. Use a fine needle to clear any blocked holes.
• Purge the wand: With the machine reassembled and powered, open the steam valve for several seconds to purge air and residual milk. Use a container to catch water/steam.
• Descale the steam circuit: Run a descaling cycle focusing on the steam function if your model supports it. This helps clear scale from the steam thermoblock and solenoid.
• Check steam knob or lever: Ensure the steam control is fully opening the valve. A worn knob or linkage can prevent proper operation.

If E08 persists after cleaning and descaling, the steam thermostat, NTC sensor, or steam solenoid valve may be faulty and require replacement.
