Possible Causes
Heavy limescale inside aluminum boiler tube, Partially clogged silicone hose, Mineral deposits at boiler outlet, Coffee oil buildup in shower head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the unit before disassembly. Hot water and steam can cause burns.
Steps to try:
- Descale aggressively: Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water. Start a brew cycle and let it run until half the solution is in the carafe. Pause for 30 minutes, then resume until empty. Repeat if flow is still slow. Rinse with 2–3 full tanks of clean water.
- Clean shower head: Remove the filter basket and unscrew or pull off the plastic shower head above it (if removable). Soak it in warm soapy water and scrub the holes with a soft brush or toothpick.
- Inspect hoses (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and check the silicone hoses for kinks or internal scale. Replace any hose that is hardened, kinked, or blocked.
If performance does not improve after thorough descaling, the boiler tube may be heavily occluded and require replacement.
